Dr. William Baer

Dr. Bill Baer MD, Pharm D, ASH-C; is a highly accomplished medical professional with a wealth of experience and expertise in Preventive Medicine, pharmacogenomics, and hypertension. Dr. Baer is originally from Pittsburgh, PA though has resided and calls Grand Rapids home for the past 30+ years. His academic pursuits began at West Virginia University for his undergrad degree, then to Duquesne University for his Pharm D and back to West Virginia University School of Medicine.

His dedication to excellence in patient care allowed him to develop a concierge medicine practice and eventually Exponential Health in 2016. His approach to disease centric care along with the optimization of one’s health through a personalized approach for over three decades has made him one of West Michigan’s most recognized physicians. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Baer has been a leader in medicine, teaching and community where he has positively impacted countless lives.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Baer finds joy and rejuvenation in various hobbies, including sports, exercise, hunting and fishing. Family holds a special place in Dr. Baer’s heart, as he shares a fulfilling life with his beloved wife Sue, their four adult children, 2 grandchildren and dog (Ada). Bill is known for his work ethic and devotion to healthcare and takes pride in forging meaningful relationships with his patients, serving as a trusted steward and advocate on their healthcare journey.
